Oh, and I picked this up on the way home one day...

I know, I know, everyone says its backwards...but its the way they are sewn on uniforms so that's how I wanted it to look, blue facing forward, on my right shoulder.

Turbo all spiffed up

This is the 1963 4010 'Turbo' sporting a fresh top to bottom paint job but before we get the sheet metal remounted.

'Fire' and water

This is the 1961 4010 that burned, we have christened him 'Fire'.

As you can see, the teardown and cleanup process has started. We took the old tires off the 1963 4010 'Turbo' and had them mounted on the wheels so we can roll Fire about while we get him operational.

New 4010 cleanup and fixing odds an ends on it, and the tear down on the old one starts.

We had to fix the way the block heater coolant line was routed on the new 4010 (Turbo is his name ). The coolant line was allowing coolant to route from the top of the engine back to the bottom and keeping the engine from ever coming up to temperature.

I removed it and put it back to stock, now it all works well, there was some oil in the coolant ( I think from all those years running way below temp, the oil was trapped under the themostats mostly ) so we keep adding water and letting the system purge any excess oil or whatever out.

The tear down on the old 4010 has begin, looks like it needs a generator, fuel lift pump, voltage regulator...the starter checked out ok, the engine isn't seized and still is full of oil, the transmission still has oil...the steering system seems to be messed up, I will have to find out more as I start working on it.
